According to market research data, the penetration rate of TFT color screens in Ninebot’s EVs reached 20% in 2024.
High-end models like the ZEEHO AE4 Max MY25 even come standard with a 6.2-inch TFT screen, supporting navigation and sound customization—delivering an “internal combustion motorcycle-level” intelligent experience. This further highlights the important role of TFT instrument clusters in the high-end EV market.
However, the application of TFT instrument clusters is not limited to high-end segments. With continuous technological advancements and declining costs, more mid-to-low-end EV models have begun to adopt them. In overseas markets such as Southeast Asia, where policies are accelerating the shift from internal combustion engines to EVs (the “oil-to-electric transition”), demand for EVs has surged. TFT instrument clusters, with their excellent performance and rich features, have become the preferred configuration for many EV manufacturers to enhance product competitiveness.
Domestically, several Chinese EV brands have also launched mid-to-low-end models equipped with TFT instrument clusters to meet the needs of different consumer groups, driving the popularization of TFT technology across the entire EV market.
